Context for Learning

Our current topic is 'Out of the Dark' in which we will look at The Great Fire of London and the Gunpowder Plot.  

Trips / residential visits

This term we will be having a visit from 'Animals Take Over' who will help us to learn more about our Science topic 'Animals Including Humans'

Useful information

PE Days (When your child will require their PE kit)

During the Autumn term, PE will be on a Wednesday/Thursday - children may come to school wearing their PE kit; this should be dark shorts or PE trousers, trainers, a school or white t-shirt and a school jumper or school hoodie.

Supporting at Home

Parents are the biggest influence on a child so it is hugely important that we work together to support each other.

Supporting your child with their reading, learning spellings, learning times tables and homework has a huge impact. This is hugely appreciated.

We encourage parents to take the time to talk to their child about what they have done in school and show an interest. To become involved in school life by checking the school website, following Twitter and reading the school newsletters.

Parents can also make a huge contribution to the school by supporting the PTA and attending events such as the Christmas fair.

Remember we are there to support each other so we encourage you to contact the school and speak to the class teacher if you are worried about anything.
