Context for Learning

Our current ‘Context for Learning’ is the One World. We will be studying the Vikings and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the Kingdom of England to the time of Edward the Confessor AD900' For Geography, we will be studying the desert and if we would like to live there. Our English study is based on the 'The Paperbag Prince' text. This fictional text looks at landfill and how we need to look after our planet. This links well to our reading unit on pollution.

Supporting at Home

Parents are the biggest influence on a child, so it is hugely important that we work together to support each other.

Supporting your child with their reading and homework has a huge impact and is hugely appreciated.

We encourage parents to take the time to talk to their child about what they have done in school and show an interest. Also to become involved in school life by checking the school website, following Twitter and reading the school newsletters.

Parents can also make a huge contribution to the school by supporting the PTA and attending events such as the Christmas fair.

Remember we are there to support each other so we encourage you to contact the school and speak to the class teacher if you are worried about anything.
