PTA

Christleton Primary School Association (PTA) is a successful partnership between parents, carers and teachers. The PTA committee is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and ‘ordinary’ Members including at least one from each year group acting as ‘Class Rep’.

The PTA is a registered charity and one of its main functions is to raise money which is used to enhance our children’s education and facilities in school. Recent events have included the annual Christmas Fair, the summer Family Fun Evening, providing refreshments for the Strawberry and Wine concert and Village Fete, School Discos and Pub Quiz.

The school receives fantastic support from the PTA. This support has enhanced the educational opportunities of all children who attend the school.

In the last four years the PTA have funded several significant projects.

• Installation of a school library
• Creation of a forest school
• Installation of playground markings on both playgrounds
• Contribution towards developing both playgrounds – key stage 2 outdoor gym, key stage 1 activity trail.
• Purchase of 30 ipads
• Subsidising the yearly pantomime trip
• Providing a live theatre experience for all children – Image Musical Theatre
• Providing book bags to new starters
• Providing ice lollies at sports day
• Re-surfacing the daily mile track
• Providing an amount each year for class teachers to ‘buy those little extras’
