What is the PE and Sport Premium?
The Primary PE and Sport Premium was additional government funding provided to primary schools in England to improve the quality of physical education (PE), sport and physical activity available to pupils.

The funding was ring-fenced and schools were required to use it to make additional and sustainable improvements to their PE and sport provision. This included developing staff expertise, increasing opportunities for children to be physically active, widening participation in sport and providing a broader range of sporting and competitive opportunities. The 2025–26 academic year was the final year of the existing PE and Sport Premium. From 2026–27, the Government is moving to a new approach through the PE and School Sport Partnerships Network, which will provide schools with access to expertise and support to strengthen PE, physical activity and school sport. Transitional funding is also being provided to primary schools as the new arrangements are introduced. The report below details Christleton Primary School's allocation and use of the PE and Sport Premium during the 2025–26 academic year, together with the impact of this investment on our pupils and PE and sport provision. |
