A very warm welcome to Christleton Primary School.

At Christleton Primary School, we believe children can have all of these things.

Set at the heart of the beautiful village of Christleton, just outside the historic city of Chester, we are a happy, successful and inclusive primary school with a strong sense of community. We are extremely proud of our school and, most importantly, of the children who make it such a special place.

Our school motto is ‘Be the Best You Can Be’, and this simple message sits at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to feel known, valued and encouraged to succeed. We have high expectations, but we also recognise that every child is unique. Our role is to help children discover their strengths, develop their talents and grow into confident, kind and capable young people.

We believe that excellent education is about much more than academic achievement alone. Our children experience a rich, ambitious and engaging curriculum which provides strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while opening their eyes to the wider world. Sport, music, creativity, enrichment and opportunities beyond the classroom all form an important part of life at Christleton.

Learning should be purposeful, memorable and exciting. Wherever possible, we give children opportunities to explore, investigate, ask questions and learn through meaningful first-hand experiences. As they progress through the school, we encourage them to become increasingly independent, curious and resilient learners who are prepared to challenge themselves and take pride in what they achieve.

Just as importantly, we want children to enjoy coming to school. Relationships are at the heart of Christleton. Our staff know our pupils well and work hard to create a warm, caring and supportive environment in which children feel secure enough to take risks in their learning and confident enough to be themselves. Success is celebrated, effort is recognised and children are encouraged to believe in what they can achieve.

The partnership between children, staff, parents and governors is a real strength of our school. We believe that children flourish when school and home work closely together, and we greatly value the contribution our families make to school life.
