A very warm welcome to Christleton Primary School.

At Christleton Primary School, we believe children should have all of these things.

Set at the heart of the beautiful village of Christleton, just outside the historic city of Chester, we are a happy, successful and inclusive primary school with a strong sense of community. We are extremely proud of our school, the high standards we set and, above all, the wonderful children who make Christleton such a special place.

Our school motto, ‘Be the Best You Can Be’, sits at the heart of everything we do. We want every child to feel known, valued and encouraged to succeed. We have high expectations for all our pupils while recognising that every child is unique. Our role is to help children discover their strengths, develop their talents and grow into confident, kind and capable young people.

We believe an excellent education is about much more than academic achievement alone. Our children experience a rich, ambitious and engaging curriculum which provides strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while also opening their eyes to the wider world. Sport, music, creativity, enrichment and opportunities beyond the classroom are all an important part of life at Christleton.

We want learning to be purposeful, memorable and exciting. Children are encouraged to explore, investigate, ask questions and think deeply about their learning.

As they move through the school, we help them become increasingly independent, curious and resilient, developing the confidence to challenge themselves and take pride in their achievements.

Just as importantly, we want children to love coming to school.

Relationships are at the heart of Christleton. Our staff know our pupils well and work hard to create a warm, caring and purposeful environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to be themselves. Success is celebrated, effort is recognised and children are encouraged to believe in what they can achieve.

The partnership between children, staff, parents and governors is another important strength of our school. We know that children thrive when school and home work closely together, and we greatly value the involvement and support of our families and wider community.
