Collecting children and Dropping them off

Do I need to inform school if someone else is dropping my child off?

You don’t need to inform school about dropping off

Can I send someone else to pick up my child?

If you need someone else to come to school to collect your child please speak to the class teacher or leave a message with the office. Each child has a data overview sheet with people who are allowed to collect them.

What time can I leave my child in the morning in the playground? Is it different for infants and juniors?
The school gates and classroom doors are opened at 08:40, they remain open until 08:50.

Children / parents should not arrive at school before 08:40 unless they are attending the before school club.

On arrival at school, children are to go straight into their classroom where staff await them.

At 08:50 the gates are closed, it is expected that all children will have arrived by this time.

What should I do if I am stuck in traffic and cannot get to school on time to collect my child?

Please contact the school office and we’ll arrange for the children to be looked after until parents arrive.

What do I do if I am going to late in collecting my child?

There are times when parents are late collecting their child from school, if this is going to happen we ask that school is informed and the expected delay is given.

If a child is not collected and no reason is given they will go to the after school club and you will be charged in accordance with their charging policy.

If a child is still not collected, Children’s Social Care will be contacted.
