Can I park at the school?

Unfortunately, we do not have onsite parking available for parents and carers at the beginning or end of the school day.

If you need to drive to school, please park legally, safely and considerately in the surrounding area and walk the remaining distance to school.

For the safety of our children and the wider community, please:

• keep the School Keep Clear zig-zag markings clear;
• avoid parking near the school entrance or on junctions;
• do not block residents’ driveways or access to properties;
• avoid parking on pavements, where this may obstruct pedestrians, wheelchair users or families with pushchairs; and
• ensure there is always sufficient access for emergency and other vehicles.

There is a designated accessible parking space close to the main school entrance for those who require accessible parking. If you need to use this space, particularly on a regular basis, please contact the school office so that we can help with arrangements.

Where possible, we encourage families to walk, cycle or scoot to school. This helps to reduce congestion around the school entrance and supports healthy, active travel.

Can my child cycle or scoot to school?

Yes. We are very happy for children to walk, cycle or scoot to school and encourage active travel where it is safe and appropriate for your family.

Children who cycle should use a roadworthy bicycle and we strongly encourage them to wear a correctly fitted cycle helmet.

Bicycles and scooters can be stored in the cycle-rack area on the Key Stage 2 playground during the school day.

Parents and carers are responsible for deciding whether their child has the appropriate skills, confidence and supervision to travel safely to and from school.
