Where else can I buy reasonably priced uniform?
Supermarkets are a good place to look for uniform such as trousers and skirts, plain polo shirts etc. Argos, Marks and Spencer and other department stores also stock similar items.

Is it OK for my child to wear a white plain collared t-shirt without the school logo?
Yes

Can my child wear formal shorts during the summer?
Yes.

Can my child wear sandals to school during the summer?
No, open toed sandals are not allowed for safety reasons.

What bags should I buy for my child?
Your child will be provided with a book bag, purchased for them by the PTA, when they start school.

They will also need a PE bag. Both of these are available via the My School Style website should you wish to have one with the school logo.

What size of uniform should I buy for my child?
Details of the available sizes are available for each item of clothing, on the MySchoolStyle website. If in any doubt, and you know another parent, it may be worth seeing if your child can try any item of their uniform, so that you can more easily find the right size.

Any items can be refunded or exchanged via the My School Style website

Does my child need a tracksuit for PE?
No, it’s optional.

We have introduced a school hoodie for cooler days which can be purchased via the My School Style website

Can I buy second-hand uniform?
Yes, there are often second-hand uniform sales throughout the year run by the PTA.

Does my child need to take a book bag to school every day?
Yes. This is used to carry your child’s reading book and reading record, and sometimes letters, information flyers or leaflets will be put into the book bag for you to read.

Does my child need to take a PE bag to school everyday?
No. PE kit should be brought to school at the beginning of term and your child will have a coat peg on which they can store the bag. The kit will be returned to you for washing, usually every half term, but more frequently if needed. All bags and each item of PE kit should have some kind of name label or be marked with your child’s name.

Do I need to put spare uniform in my child’s book bag, in case they get wet?
No. Parents will be contacted in the rare event that a change of clothes is required. Parents are informed in advance if children are involved in a messy/art activity and advised to bring in an art shirt/old clothing.

What doe my child need for forest school?
When your child has forest school sessions they are allowed to come into school wearing their forest school clothing. This clothing should be appropriate for the outdoor learning that they will be taking part in and the weather conditions at that time. Further information regarding clothing for forest schools is sent out prior to your child taking part in these activities.

Can my child wear jewellery in school?
We ask that pupils do not wear jewellery in school.

Small stud earrings can be worn but these must be removed by pupils on PE days. If your child can not remove their own earrings we ask that they do not wear them.

Schools are busy places and we find that jewellery can cause unnecessary accidents.
